Installing a "chip" is one of the first modifications that is recommended if you are looking at performance gains. By changing the fuel/air mapping of your cars' ECU, most, if not all vehicles should see a gain in horse power and torque as well as an actual improvement in fuel economy if all driving conditions are kept the same. On most applications, having a chip installed is the best bang-for-your-buck where you can gain anywhere from a 20%-40% increase in HP and torque on turbo applications.
