This ’66 VW Short Bus is simply a show-stopper. Shortened by 2 feet (the width of one side cargo door), this one of a kind Bus always draws a crowd. It features split front windows with rear Safari’s and side pop-outs. It has a custom built-in Alpine stereo system, upgraded interiors, custom wheels, built-in navigation system, and more (see below).
The Short Bus engine is a 1776cc engine with dual 44IDFs completely rebuilt by Norris Racing—drives and handles great! It has a 4 inch narrowed ball joint beam and "Hybrid" spindles up front, from WagensWest and Wilwood Disc Brakes. The rear end has notched spring plates, Beetle axles, tubes and brakes.
The Short Bus upgrades and service have been meticulously documented—it has its own website and social media page!
